Feb 14,  · Stereo bass on vinyl. EDIT: just read the original post more carefully - for a 20 minute side I don't think you need to worry about it that much. You might want to include a note to the ME letting him know to look out for out of phase bass end for this particular track.

The shorter the track, the louder it can be pressed and the better it will sound. I would recommend a maximum track lenght of 7 minutes for drum&bass or dubstep music. Center the bass. Make the bass mono when mixing for vinyl. Always and absolutely. With bass I don’t only mean the bassline.

The importance of each characteristic in the "vinyl sound" definition is the subjective part. Low frequencies (bass): Low frequencies panned between the left and right channels can knock around the needle, so you'll find low frequencies to be monophonic. Even with centered low frequencies, the record can skip with excessive low end.

Jul 28,  · I believe one of the reasons some folks believe vinyl lacks deep bass is because the overwhelming majority of their vinyl records were filtered to remove the bottom octave or two (or three!). That isn't a limitation of the medium so much as it is a limitation of the mastering.

The printed inner sleeves look even better. The records have the original center labels and are pressed very cleanly. I guess they took the CD as audio source but the sound is still good. I bought it in , before the Music on Vinyl re-press so I had only two options: The original picture disc for € or the unofficial one on black vinyl.
