The Allman Brothers Band - Eat A Peach VINYL LP Tributes to fallen icons don’t come any more poignant or illustrative than Eat a Peach. Released in early , slightly more than three months after guitarist Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident, the double album honors the musician via sides he recorded in the studio as well as.

Jun 14,  · The new one by far is the go-to version. The Vinyl Lovers isn't worth mentioning, but the old MFSL always sounded great to my ears. The new release fills in mids that I now know are absent on the old one. "Mountain Jam" in particular is a revelation - the drum jam is more dynamic with better spacing, Berry's bass is really driving and clear.

The band made The Allman Brothers Band, Idlewild South, At Fillmore East, and three-fourths of Eat a Peach with its original lineup, before Duane Allman’s fatal motorcycle accident in The Tom Dowd-produced Idlewild South, their second album, comes off with a little less ferocity than their debut — which is perhaps the result of Price: $

Jul 27,  · Eat A Peach and on are on the Capricorn label distributed by Warner Bros. My suggestion if the warm sound is too soft, get a Presswell of the early stuff or a Terre Haute cut copy of Eat A Peach (look for a little 'T' etched in the dead wax). Bros. & Sisters always seems to be soft.
